Midcentury Howard Keith Diplomat Sofa c.1970
H: 64cm W: 260cm D: 118cm Seat Height: 39cm A 1970s Howard Keith Diplomat sofa upholstered in Sereno striped fabric. Designed by John Home in 1970 for Howard Keith, the Diplomat sofa was quickly considered a classic sofa design and was sold by retailers such as Harrods and Heals. The low, modernist sleek lines and deep-set seating make them a well sought after piece. These sofas were owned by both royalty, pop starts and celebrities of the day and one was recently featured in Elton John’s private jet in Rocketman. The sofa has retained its original fabric to which shows very minimal wear. As an added bonus as they are often missing, and also comes with 5 original small scatter cushions Condition: Extremely Good — This vintage item has no defects but may show light traces of use. Wear consistent with age and use.
